Job Title: Site Health & Safety Intern

Reports to: Health and Safety Officer

Job location: Field work

Job Summary

The Site Health & Safety Intern will be required to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and advise on minimizing hazards or unhealthy situations in the upcoming projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provision of PPEs and accounting for their usage
2. Ensuring proper use of PPEs by workers while conducting monitoring on compliance.
3. Raising daily concerns from issues on-site that may pose potential hazards.

1. Maintaining records of safety inventories
2. Eliminating physical hazards through the maintenance of good housekeeping.
3. Responsible for keeping a daily record of workers/employees on site on a daily basis.

1. Write daily, weekly safety and health reports or injury logs and submit them to the Health and Safety officer.
2. Daily reporting of site compliance, incidents, and accidents reporting.

Qualification

1. Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health & safety
2. Basic training in either First Aid, Fire Safety will be an added advantage
3. Proven/prior competency in handling safety/health aspects in a construction site.
4. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
5. A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
6. NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage
